ಚಿಗುರನು ತಂದ, ಹೆಣಳ ಕುಣಿಸುತ ನಿಂದ,

ಚಳಿಯನು ಕೊಂದ ಹಕ್ಕಿಗಳುಲಿಗಳೆ ಚೆಂದ,

ಕೂವೂ, ಜಗ್ ಜಗ್, ಪುವೀ, ಟೂವಿಟ್ಟವೂ !

Spring has arrived, the king of the seasons arrived,

Shoots brought new sprouts, dancing from

Killed the chill, birds are beautiful

Coo, Jug Jug, Poovey, tweets!

Vasanta banda, r̥tugaḷa rāja tā banda,

ciguranu tanda, heṇaḷa kuṇisuta ninda,

caḷiyanu konda hakkigaḷuligaḷe cenda,

kūvū, jag jag, puvī, ṭūviṭṭavū!
