When did you come to Bengaluru?

Conversation: Ravi asks Vivek when he arrived in Bengaluru.

Ravi: When did you come to Bengaluru?

Neevu Bengaluruge yavage bandree?

Neevu (you) yavage (when) Bengaluruge (to Bengaluru) bandree (came)?

Neevu (plural, with respect)

Neenu you (singular)

To ask with respect, say ‘neevu’ in plural.

For those you know very well you can say ‘neenu’.

Vivek: It is 3 days since I came to Bengaluru.

Naanu Bengalurige bandu, mooru dina aitu.

Naanu (I) Bengalurige (to Bengaluru) bandu (after coming), mooru (three) dina (days) aitu (over).

Suppose Vivek was with his family, he would say,

It is 3 days since WE came to Bangalore.

Naavu, Bengalurige bandu, mooru dina aitu.

Naavu (we) Bengalurige (to Bengaluru) bandu (after coming), mooru (three) dina (days) aitu (over).
